I’ve been dancing all my life. One of the academies I went to opened a pole dancing class. At first, my friends and I were making fun of it, and so we decided to take a class as a joke. Well, that class made me realize that there was a whole new world that I didn’t know about. That day I came home wondering how I was going to tell my mother that I was about to take pole dancing classes. I come from a conservative orthodox family, so it wasn’t easy at all. After lots of insisting, they agreed with one condition; no one could know about this. Every class made me fall in love more and more. 5 years later, my family was so proud of my achievements that they shared on social media every picture I took doing a new trick.
Now I am in college and it hasn’t been easy to keep practicing. Still, I manage to do it because this is not just a hobby anymore. I am learning with the help of instagram pole dancers, so thank you to everyone that has inspired me to keep going and to keep challenging myself. I dream big, and one day I will open my own pole fitness academy.
