I started off as a general dancer, growing up I felt like an outcast, different from the rest. I struggled academically and out of school making friends. I turned to dance as a form of expression. Only being doing pole for year nearly now but I feel it has helped my mental state and helped me see my creative potential. Iv always found it hard to fit in and I constantly quit when a challenge became to hard. Pole has made me realise I can do things I never thought I could meaning I’m pushing boundaries now. dance has helped me not only exercise my body but helped my mind in controlling my depression and anxiety. I find all my frustration and problems I faced can be solved through the power of expression, the power of dance, we are more than just dancers on a pole, we are artists expressing ourselves with our body
