Ocean City officials held a public hearing Wednesday considering new regulations for street performers. This decision comes as a backlash to last summer’s pole performance by Chelsea Plymale on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Performers are currently protected after a 2012 lawsuit by the American Civil Liberties Union argued the rules were an impermissible restriction on free speech. Following a town uproar over the pole performance, the city is reviewing its legal options. To read the full story click here.
